The Brent Black Group was founded with a bold spirit but a relatively modest objective. Our idea was straightforward:social-emotional wellbeing and addiction support services shouldn’t come with a price-tag, they shouldn’t be a one-size fits all, they should offer respect for personal choice. But what other options are there? Why aren’t people offered choices in the type of treatment they receive? Why are the same treatment models applied to people with completely different backgrounds and social circumstances? The Brent Black Group was founded as an alternative, and a logical solution. We offer support for all types of addictions: drugs, alcohol, behavioural - porn, sex, gambling etc. - including prevention / education outreach, interventions, individual, family and emergency counselling as well as medical support if required. We offer specialist child & adolescent therapy, couples counselling, personal growth workshops and professional development workshops. We offer outpatient support groups for adolescents and addiction - including a 12-step abstinence support group, a harm reduction group and an adolescent support group. All consultations start at R450. Our mission is not to change, but to modernise. To pro-actively focus on the development of a more diverse, innovative offering of solutions for you. Accessing support should feel comfortable for you – and you should walk away feeling understood and empowered. We want you to feel respected. We want to know what services you believe will address and solve all your challenges. We then want you to decide what services you actually feel ready to access. We want you to know that we value, respect and encourage progress – not perfection We want you to be able to say, “no”, if you aren’t ready.
