I started offering this service because I noticed contractors like garden services, cleaners, plumbers, electricians, builders and carpenters tend to be so busy they simply stuff the paperwork into the cubbyhole of their bakkies and mentally defer it to the “later” pile. It means that you can see at a glance, using the app on your phone or logging in to your laptop, exactly what money you have, and what money will be taken by debit orders. No surprises there! The other common issue is cash flow. Too often business owners have to supplement funds from their personal money in order to pay wages at the end of the week. Then there are ongoing costs for things like petrol/diesel, money to get a fitting or some hardware items and just when you think your day is going to be good, something breaks and you have to stop work to fix it – a major headache when the repairs are so expensive and once again you dip into your own pocket in order to stay in business.
