Mizu Aquatic Systems

Mizu Aquatic Systems is a Cape Town-based aquatic system diagnostic and water quality monitoring service specialising in koi ponds, ornamental water features, and recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). We serve Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Somerset West, and surrounding areas in the Western Cape. Many pond and aquatic system owners face recurring problems — green water, algae blooms, unexplained fish deaths, oxygen depletion, and filtration failures — without ever finding a lasting solution. That's because most treatments address symptoms rather than root causes. At Mizu Aquatic Systems, we take a scientific, diagnostic approach to identify exactly what's going wrong beneath the surface. Our process begins with a full physical inspection of your pond or aquatic system, including pumps, filtration, and water flow. We then conduct professional water quality testing, measuring critical parameters such as ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, KH, pH, and nitrogen cycle stability. All findings are compiled into a detailed, highly technical health report with clear recommendations for both short-term corrections and long-term system improvements. Whether you're managing a private koi pond, an estate water feature, or a commercial aquaculture operation, our goal is the same: a stable, balanced aquatic system that works — and stays working. We don't rely on guesswork or one-size-fits-all solutions. Every system is different, and every diagnosis is tailored to your specific setup and water chemistry.
