Hydraform

Hydraform is a pioneering company in the field of sustainable construction technology, specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative blockmaking machines that produce interlocking compressed earth blocks (CSEB). Since its establishment in South Africa, Hydraform has been dedicated to addressing the global housing crisis by providing affordable, environmentally friendly, and durable building solutions. The Hydraform system replaces conventional fired bricks and mortar with stabilized soil-cement blocks that interlock, significantly reducing the need for expensive building materials and skilled labor. By using locally available soil mixed with a small amount of cement and water, the technology promotes cost-effective and resource-efficient construction, while minimizing environmental impact. Hydraform’s machines and blockmaking solutions have been deployed in more than 50 countries worldwide, supporting governments, NGOs, private developers, and communities in delivering quality housing, schools, clinics, and other infrastructure projects. Beyond technology, Hydraform places strong emphasis on training and skills transfer, empowering local communities to build for themselves, create jobs, and achieve long-term development goals. With a proven track record of over three decades, Hydraform continues to lead the way in sustainable construction innovation, making housing more accessible, resilient, and eco-friendly across the globe.
