Babalwa Magalela (@bmagalela), the CEO and Creative Director of Bathing Babe Swimwear, encourages young individuals towards financially freedom, fitness, health and an entrepreneurial lifestyle, through example.
The first collection is officially open for sale on the 1st of November 2018 via the designated website at www.bathingbabe.co.za and also the instagram online store @bathingbabeza

The collection comprises of both bikinis and one pieces, with styles that are sporty, feminine, sexy and bold, for the naturally confident individual.

The line is a reflection Babalwa's personality; vast, daring and without compromise in quality or fit.

Babalwa comments, "The collection was inspired by two events. 1. A particularly unsatisfactory online purchase and 2. A complaint from a friend about the lack in variety, in South Africa, when it comes to swimwear."

Designed, especially to relieve the two issues, the range includes dozens of styles, multiple colours and features some striking prints. The South African individual now has access to functional, high quality items, that encourage self-expression and the embracing of ones' uniqueness within our rainbow nation.

The styles within the collection can be described in a number of adjective. Some pieces, particularly the ones that are bonded with mesh, can be described as 'Sporty'. The styles that have strategic cut outs, are sexy. Boho comes to mind when thinking of the crocheted items, while some styles, that have plunging necklines and frills, are considered feminine.

The colours range from a plain black and white, to the more exciting red, orange, yellow palette and of course, the daring nude. Our colours encourage easy mix and matching, to accommodate as any individuals as possible.

In addition to variety of style and colour, the collection also makes sure to include persons of different weights, with sizes.
