In 2010 we applied to the Education Department for registration as a Preparatory School and subsequently also obtained membership with ISASA (Independent Schools Association of South Africa). The Pre-Primary and aftercare facilities have been registered with the department of social services since 1981.

Our purpose at The Valley has always been to create an environment of excellence, to be aware of international trends and give each child the very best opportunities possible in order for them to develop fully in all areas.

The staff at our school carefully plan an environment where your child will be able to realise his or her full potential in all areas (including social interaction, co-operation within a group, responsibility, self-discipline, and a positive self-image) and will in turn be able to thrive in all future endeavours.

Children are encouraged to pursue a wide scope of learning activities designed to fit their own needs and interests. They are led to develop the necessary insights, appreciation and skills required for a lifetime of learning. It is a well-documented fact that patterns laid down in early childhood produce responsible, self-confident, creative, competent individuals with critical thinking skills.

Our school motto "we will shine" encompases all that we desire for our children- that they will make a difference in all that they do, with skills that equip them for life in an ever-changing world.
