We believe substance abuse and addiction are the symptom of an emotional and spiritual crisis that occurred during or after a traumatic event or events that cause the individual persons coping mechanisms to stop working. Our treatment program is all about assisting the individual to deal with these past traumas, face the issues that contribute towards their addiction and give them tools to become effective and functioning members of society. When life hurts or is becomes difficult, we are tempted to run from life. We seek temporary shelter in many things, many of them not helpful or even destructive. This is particularly so when we seek shelter in the false refuge of drugs or alcohol. Our treatment programs are based on an entirely different approach influenced by new findings in neurobiology of the brain and in the field of Traumatology and Addiction and life coaching as well as commonly used treatment programs. There are many practices, which help us come back to the present moment, and learn to enjoy life again. These practices include detoxing the individual, the 12 step Celebrate Recovery, journaling, working with relationships, traumatology, supplement therapy and others.
